The National Center for Crisis Management

The National Center for Crisis Management offers workshops, presentations and seminars by professionals, across disciplines, who aim to assist others before, during and in the aftermath of a crisis. The Center was established in collaboration with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress – an association that seeks to increase awareness of the effects of traumatic events and, ultimately, improve the quality of intervention for survivors. NCCM’s primary mission is to enable all caregivers to look beyond physical and safety needs, and to also address the emotional needs of people during times of crisis.

When we are called for a critical incident, we will tailor the responding team as the call requires, examples; if it involves a police officer who has shot or shot at an individual, we will send an officer who has been involved in a shooting. If the incident involves an officer who has been shot in the line of duty, we will send an officer who has been wounded. If the incident involves an individual struggling with an addiction, we will send someone who has been down the same road. A chaplain will be brought if requested.
